Have you got big questions about life, meaning, purpose and faith?
Alpha is a fun, safe way to explore life’s big questions in a relaxed and enjoyable way. It’s free, and you can try it out with no commitment to complete the course.
Our next Alpha course begins on the 13th January at 7.00pm/14th January 12.30pm. Please book here:
Covid Secure Alpha
Alpha is a chance to explore the big questions of life with others over a meal. In a series of 8 – 10 sessions you can explore some of the basic claims of the Christian faith and decide what you think for yourself. You can say as much or as little as you like.
Current restrictions will mean some changes to how Alpha normally runs. To begin, we will meet over Zoom, but if things change, we may be able to meet in person later during the course, and share a meal together.
There’s a short video introducing a theme: “Is there more to life than this?”, “Who is Jesus?”, “How can we have faith?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”
Then it’s your chance to share thoughts and ideas on the theme, and discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously).
It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
Hundreds of thousands of people have tried Alpha across the world in cafés, churches, universities and homes. Here’s what others who have tried Alpha at St John’s have got out it.
Contact the church office on 01489 578082 to join us on our next Alpha Course, or use the booking button (rigjht).
It’s free, and you can try it out with no commitment to complete the whole course.
