COVID-19: It’s all a bit different, but the church is alive!

Come Alive This Easter at St John’s 

Looking out of the window, we can see signs that spring is here. Gardens and parks are coming to life and we too can come to life again as the days are lighter and restrictions ease.

It is also a time when we celebrate the good news of the Easter story, and how Jesus came that we would have ‘life, in all its fullness’.

We are expecting the church to open again at the end of March and are hopeful that all the services below will be in the building (except Good Friday), but please check our Facebook page, the church noticeboard or this page for details nearer the time, in case restrictions are in place.
You will need to book to attend in person and you can do that using the booking button below. 

Leading up to Easter:

Lent Study.  Join with us at home and on Zoom as we look at how His Story can impact Your Story.  For full details click here

The church is open weekday mornings for personal prayer and reflection 9am-12 noon (except Bank Holidays/Maundy Thursday)

From April 19th we’re looking Yarn Bomb to the garden too.  Knit/crochet anything you like to add to our theme of All thing bright and beautiful” It could be flowers/trees/ birds/butterflies/bees/shapes/pompoms/baubles/ little people…the list is endless. Give it a wool/ribbon handle to hang it with and then come and decorate the church garden.

Easter Story Trail (no booking required)

Join our family friendly trail available Sunday in the church Garden (4th – 11th April).+ Come and find the 10 hidden  pictures in the grounds.   A great activity for the holidays. No booking required.  You might want a pen and paper but it’s not required.

Easter Messy Church:

Holy Week (29th Mar-2nd Apr)

The church remains open Monday-Friday mornings for personal prayer and reflection. (Excluding Maundy Thursday & Bank Holidays)

 Stop. Think. Act. Pray. (No booking required)

Find our activity stations in the church garden. An outdoor version of “Stations of the Cross”.  Suitable for the young, and old alike, find our STOPS to reflect, act and pray, with a different theme each day (29th March – 4th April).+
