COVID-19: We can’t gather together, but the church is alive!

Weekly Prayer Points

The Prayer Points for this week

Collect for this week – Fifth Sunday after Trinity (12th July)

Almighty God, send down upon your Church the riches of your Spirit, and kindle in all who minister the gospel your countless gifts of grace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord

We give thanks for:

  • The people that have worked on online services, websites, social media, Zoom calls and phone calls over lockdown that kept us connected at a time when it wasn’t easy.
  •  The Youth & Children’s work that has been able to continue via technology during lockdown.
  • The peace we have in God

We pray for:

  • Those who have asked to be specifically remembered in prayer:
    Julia W,  Jo & Eddie, Audrey H, Beverley T,  Joan & Trevor C, and their son Robin, daughter-in-law Sara and granddaughter.
  • Children, as they adjust to the new look and feel of their schools and classes, and for those going to a new school in September and for the school teachers as they have to recreate the way they organise classes, classrooms and activities.
  • St John’s Church, that we will listen for and hear God’s plan in the next season

This week the Deanery prayers are for:

St Paul’s, Sarisbury.
