New Visitor Information

At St. John's we aim to make all new visitors as welcome as possible.

The purpose of this page is to provide you with the information you need to make your first visit with us as easy and rewarding as possible.

There is a range of services to suit all needs and moods, from lively family services, to quieter, more traditional worship. Click here for information on the times of services and their descriptions and choose the one that suits you.

Children are always welcome. They sit with their parents at the 09:30 Family Service on the first Sunday of the month. At the other Sunday morning services most prefer to join the regular, age appropriate Children's groups for activities and fun, allowing the adults to concentrate on the service, but then come back into church to take communion as a family.

We believe that music is important in our worship. We have an excellent choir who sing with organ and piano accompaniment, and a music group who play at selected services.

We know that stepping into a new church can sometimes be daunting, even if you are a regular worshipper elsewhere. All attendees at St. John's are given an Order of Service with which you will be able to easily follow what is happening and join in as appropriate. There is no formal dress code, so wear what you feel comfortable in, be it casual or "Sunday Best". You will see a mix of it all here.

Each service has a small team of helpers drawn from volunteers in the congregation. Any of these will be happy to assist you, if you wish to ask them. Please introduce yourself. There is also coffee served after the Sunday morning services where it is possible to meet others.

Please take some time to look around this web site as it contains more information about us as a Church Family. We hope to see you soon.
