Rev. Charles Sugden, previously serving at St. James' Church, Poole, is the vicar at St. John’s. He took up his licensed ministry on Monday 8th December 2008.

Prior to working in the Parish of St James’s Poole, Charles was Team Vicar in Melksham, Wiltshire. He served his curacy in the Chelmsford Diocese.
Charles is married to Kath, who for 13 years to 2008 worked in Russia with a Mission Agency. Both Charles and Kath are musicians.
